Sydney musician Max C Bud is about the make a big name for himself as a solo artist with mellow indie gem “Temptress”, his debut single produced in collaboration with Boo Seeka’s Sam Croft. The song, which focuses around honesty in relationships, is a creative number crafted into a lane frequented by beloved acts like Holly Holly and Paul Dempsey, an agile leap from Max’s usual acoustic style to something mellow and atmospheric.
The lithe indie groove fits right in with its accompanying dreamy visuals, which seem to dance between crime caper and a smokey, intimate celebration. And they are coming at you as an exclusive premiere right here on The AU Review.
Of the song, Max had the following to say:
“I wrote Temptress during a confronting time in my life. It’s about dealing with an issue head-on and being honest with someone about a troubled relationship that couldn’t be changed”
This marks Max’s first project as a solo artist, but in no way is he new to the scene. The Sydneysider has been playing music for a good two decades, kicking off during his formative years when he would write music up on the NSW North Coast. We’re very sure it won’t be long till he’s taking the new sound across the country, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled to his socials for upcoming tour dates.
