Brisbane pop-rock artist Shanon Watkins is back with a new music video for his latest single “We Lived“, and ahead of its official release this Friday, we’re excited to premiere it exclusively on the AU today.
“We Lived” deviates slightly from Shanon’s usual optimistic tone, embracing a more sombre feeling, allowing the listener a chance to delve deeper into his world. Alongside the news of this new single comes the announcement of Shanon’s debut album Everything I Have“, which will be released on November 9th and celebrated with a launch event at Woolly Mammoth in Brisbane on December 1st.
Here’s what Shanon had to say about “We Lived”:
“The best way to live life is like it’s your last day’ says Shanon. ‘The chorus “we lived our lives like we were dying”, sums up life perfectly for me. If you had one day left on Earth you wouldn’t go to a shitty job you hate or be angry because someone said something that hurt your feelings. You would not care, you would just want to live every second with people you love!!”

Produced by Benjy Pocock at Vibetone Studios, “We Lived” is smooth and melodic, showcasing Shanon’s brilliant songwriting talents. The music video, produced by Sean Twomey, captures the simplicity and organic nature of the band.
Everything I Have Album Launch: Saturday 1st December – The Woolly Mammoth, Brisbane. Tickets available HERE.
