The Razr, the latest mobile phone handset from Motorola, is very much riding the current 90’s throwback trend.
It’s a flip phone, modeled on classic designs people carted around in the late 90’s and early 00’s. But the way Moto have come at modernising the flip phone is through foldable screen technology, an arm of mobile phone design that makers are determined to make the most of.
It’s a beefy little phone. Motorola want to run with the big dogs and have built a phone with spec to do so. There’s a lot of of information so maybe we just take a look at the sheet from the press release.

Like I said, it’s quite a bit of phone.
So when can you get one? The Razr releases in Australia on February 24, 2020. You can pre-order now for launch day, and the phone can be purchased outright through JB Hifi or the Moto store, or on a contract through official carrier Telstra. How much should you expect to pay? Brace yourself: the Motorola Razr will set you back $2,699 AUD outright.
It’s certainly a fun gimmick. The spec sheet is impressive and the look is certainly sleek, but that price point is serious business. We’ll see how the Razr fares in February.
