Playground Touring and Stop Start today announce The Best of Doves: Australian tour has been cancelled.
Following on from the weekends announcement from the band direct to their fans, Playground Touring can today confirm that Doves are unable to honour their touring commitment to Australia this February due to a personal matter within the band.
Official statement from the Doves:
“We regret to announce that due to circumstances beyond our control we have been forced to cancel our forthcoming tour of Australia.
This is a decision we have not taken lightly and our sincere apologies go out to anyone who has bought tickets for the shows and for any inconvenience caused” Doves
Headline shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle have all been cancelled including their appearance at Playground Weekender festival.
Festival organisers are as disappointed as the band and plan to announce a replacement in the coming weeks.
Refunds for the Doves headline shows (only) will be available from the point of purchase.

Tuesday 15th February – Hi-Fi Bar, Brisbane
Thursday 17th February – Enmore Theatre, Sydney
Saturday 19th February – The Forum, Melbourne
Monday 21st February – Metropolis, Fremantle
Playground Weekender will go ahead in Wisemans Ferry 17-20 February.
