Handy e-cards for local councils to send to people who send in noise complaints about the live music venue they moved next door to.

I feel like we hear about it all the time. Legendary Australian venues being forced to undergo expensive changes from their local council to cater to new residents who are bitching and moaning in the area. Some may argue this is the price we pay for an ever expanding urban sprawl, but when a venue has been there for 25 years and you move in next door, you know what – you’re the dickhead that should get sound proofing for being dumb enough not to expect that as a result.

Venues already abide to strict curfews – which are fair enough in most instances – and suffer enough. The fact they are then put through endless financial struggles as a result of their new neighbours is absurd. Well you know what local councils, it’s time to take a stand with the local businesses who have been bringing people into your district for decades. Enough is enough. The next time someone moves in next door to a live music venue and starts complaining, we’ve created some handy e-cards you can send them in response.

And when all else fails… rely on Bill Murray…

Do you have some e-cards you’d also like to provide for your local council? Feel free to send some to [email protected] and we’ll add them to this article.
