We’re headed back over to Toronto for the annual Canadian Music Week, which is happening in May for the first time this year (in the past it’s been held straight after SXSW in March). There’s always an amazing contingency of Australian bands who play the event – and in spite of the date change, as well as a clash with the similarly popular Great Escape Festival in Brighton, UK, the 2014 CMW event is of no exception.
A massive 32 Australian artists and bands will be making the trip – from the established You Am I and LA based Brode Dalle, who recently returned to Australia to tour with husband Josh Homme and Trent Reznor – to some of our favourite up-and-comers like Cub Sport, King Gizzard, Eli Wolfe, The Lazys and Elizabeth Rose… and then there are the artists who we’ve never heard of!
