the AU interview: Jason Mraz (USA) talks about "connecting our humanity" through his music and refining his message

the AU review sat down with Jason Mraz during his brief December 2014 Australian tour. In part one of the interview, Mraz talks about his experiences touring Australia, Asia and the world. He talks about sharing his “tools of transformation… to remind people that our thoughts, speech, actions and attitudes… that’s what dictates our life experience”.

He talks about how at the centre of his songs are “medicines of healing”, and taking those around the world to “connect our humanity”. We go on to ask if that message is ever difficult in places like Japan where English isn’t the first language… He goes on to reflect about how his music has evolved: “My music has gotten simpler during the years, I’ve tried to refine my message and sing it succinctly…”
