Alison Wonderland and SAFIA top the first announcement for Australia's electronic cruise ship festival: Seas and Beats

Australia is getting its first ever “electronic music festival at sea” next year, with Alison Wonderland, Hot Dub Time Machine, SAFIA, The Kite String Tangle, Touch Sensitive and more ready to play the massive event that will see 2000 revellers transported from Brisbane to a mystery island for what is destined to be a four day, three night party from the 5th to the 8th of March 2016.

Departing from Brisbane, the 2000-capacity cruise liner will deliver a full day of live music, with seven “floating stages” promised on board. A full day festival will be provided on a mystery island, before party goers return to Brisbane via another day of DJs, Live Music and a whole heap of dancing. Called Sea ’N Beats, the festival will take their guests “on a musical adventure across land and sea”.

In addition to the music, everyone will be treated to a traditional cruise experience, with seven restaurants, a day spa, 24 hour room service, two swimming pools, four hot tubs, race car similators, nine bars, pubs and nightclubs, a casino and a fitness centre.

So, unsurprisingly, the pricing doesn’t exist too far off what you’d pay for a four day cruise experience, with tickets starting at $957 and going all the way up to $2,995 per person – based purely on your room type. A $250 per person deposit is all that’s needed to secure your ticket now though, with cabins on sale from Monday, April 13th at 10.30am AEST.
