It was announced on Friday that Qantas Airlines would return service to its Perth to Singapore Route on June 26th, after shelving it in May 2014, as part of a run of improvements set to be instated for its West Australian services.
Qantas will operate five return Boeing 737 Perth to Singapore services each week, with special one way fares for the almost 1700 seats available starting from $199 (on sale until 30th April). Each flight will be equipped with in-flight entertainment on the back of seats and new economy meals will be introduced.
The business class will have 12 seats with a Neil Perry Rockpool dining experience and amenity kits from Kate Spade and Jack Spade. The famous pajamas will also be provided. The service from Perth will be a day flight, arriving at 5.20pm, opening up a myriad of connection options. The return flight will see guests back in Perth before midnight.
In terms of other improvements, Qantas has added to more weekly return services between Perth and Brisbane, bringing the total number of weekly flights between the capital cities now to 30. Five of these aircrafts are the reconfigured A330s with the new Business Suites. Perth International Airport will also be receiving a new domestic business lounge later in the year, with capacity for 350 travellers, some of whom may be flying on the new F100 aircraft being introduced on select services between Perth and Port Hedland, Karratha, Newman and Broome. These services will be introduced later in the year to “maintain the level of frequency while better matching capacity with changing market demand.”
