UK dance music legends Andy Cato and Tom Findlay have announced that their forthcoming Parklife tour will be the last time Aussies can check out the band live in action, as they bring their GA LIVE show to an end. Parklife 2010 will showcase the electrifying Groove Armada ‘Black Light’ LIVE Show for the final time, promising to deliver a big bang to mark the end of an era for these groundbreaking festival favourites.
Confirming their plans, Andy and Tom said, “We’ve crossed and re-crossed the world with this band and crew. There’s no other team like it. With their help, GA live became the sound of legendary nights from Mount Fuji to Moscow. It’s not often in the spotlight maybe; but ask the people who have come and filled the tents and surrounded the stages for the last decade. A massive thanks to all of them, for staying with us on a journey from Richie Havens to Saint Saviour.”
“The boys have confirmed that the forthcoming Australian and UK tours will be the last. GA LIVE will come to an end at Brixton on 16th October. There are big DJ and production plans for 2011, but if you want to see the band live, do it now”, says Groove Armada’s manager Dan O’Neill. Fuzzy believe that Groove Armada will be going all-out at Parklife for their final Australian live shows. “This will be a fitting way to farewell their amazing live show as they close Parklife across Australia” says Fuzzy co-founder and touring director Ming Gan.
Groove Armada are headlining Parklife across Australia’s five states alongside Missy Elliott, The Dandy Warhols, Kele from Bloc Party, Soulwax, New Young Pony Club and dozens more of the most relevant local and international bands and DJs. The festival kicks off this weekend in Brisbane on September 25, before heading to Perth (September 26), Melbourne (October 2), Sydney (October 3), and Adelaide (October 4).
