We are delighted to be premiering the video for the latest release “Pressure”, from Gold-Coast indie-quintet Pure Milk. It’s a song with an upbeat groove to it, tackling the anxieties which we all face day-to-day. Neat guitar riffs, sparse but well-placed harmonies and deft production leave you wanting more. This song has an endearing quirky sound and is likely to find plenty of love amongst fans of artists such as Courtney Barnett and Frank Turner.
The band formed in 2017, but it was in 2019 that they really made inroads. Singles “Expectations”, “Palm Beach” and “I Know You (Thank You)” all received solid airplay, and they had some choice supports with DZ Deathrays, Donny Benet and more. They finished 2019 by releasing their debut EP Self-Improvement
The track was produced and mixed by Brad Hosking (Amy Shark), and mastered by Paul Blakey (Amy Shark / IVEY).
About the video, frontman Lewis Nitschinsk says “The video follows a guy having a really, really bad day. He daydreams a lot and everything that happens in his dreams somehow comes back with him. Nothing turns out right, poor fella.”
Give “Pressure” a listen, and check out the video here first. I suspect the boys had a lot of fun making it.
