Now that domestic flights are being heavily discounted, Australian who have all this pent-up wanderlust brimming about need to make a decision on which parts of the country they want to explore in the coming months.
The Northern Territory should benefit greatly from this, especially now that it has been confirmed that the state will host one of the first major arts festivals to return following COVID-19 restrictions. That is, the now iconc “Parrtjima – A Festival in Light”, which each year transforms the desert landscape of Mparntwe, Alice Springs with a wondrous display of light installations across 10 nights.
Showcasing First Nations artists, the free festival explores boundless creativity via a number of live talks, events and music, in addition to what is usually 2.5km of light works set against the extraordinary MacDonnell Ranges and a clear star-scape.
Aimed at lifting the spirits from the work of participating artists, the festival has been confirmed for the 11th to 20th September.
