Electronic pop

Members & their roles:

Phoebe Imhoff – Vocals and keys.

What music or artists inspired you?
We have slightly different tastes, but can both seem to agree on plenty of attractive, talented Swedes such as Little Dragon, Robyn and Elliphant. A little bit of Sharon Van Etten doesn’t go astray either.

How did the band get started?
We met when Miro did some mixing on a Go Violets track a few years ago. When GV ended earlier this year, we both saw an opportunity to explore a new and exciting direction as an electro pop duo. We have been working together for about 7 months now and have just released our first single.

Tell us about your latest release:
‘Come Around’ is a breezy electronic pop jam inspired by observing various relationships around me. We were constantly finding new sounds and vocals to add to the single throughout the writing and recording process (Miro is a bit of a perfectionist), so it took about 6 months to get to a stage where we were happy with the production.

Where can I get your music?
At the moment we have the song out on soundcloud and our personal website, www.stevieband.com .
