In doubling down on the ‘healthy’ part of its brand identity, Grill’d is accompanying the launch of a new and improved 100% Natural burger menu with a neat little initiative tasking customers to simply walk for a discount.
Anyone who wants a dig at the new menu can simply get $10 off any burger or salad order between Saturday 8th and Thursday 13th August. They just have to walk 10,000 steps on the day they order. The proof will just be by showing the steps logged on a phone, app or smart watch to the team at the register, and customers also have to be a member of the burger chain’s free-to-join Relish loyalty program.
This offer will be available Australia-wide, but due to Victoria’s current stage 4 lockdown, residents of that state will only have to prove 5,000 steps which can be completed at home, in the backyard, or when exercising within a 5km radius.
“From day one, we have strived to find better ways of making and delivering fast, healthy burgers and better, more sustainable ways of doing business,” said Grill’d Founder Simon Crowe. “We know our customers are looking to make healthier choices, now more than ever, so we wanted to give them a great reason to step up, fill up and feel good about it.”
The deal doesn’t apply to online delivery (both via Grill’d and third parties), but is valid for any pick-up or dine-in order.
New burgers on the menu include the “Emporer” with wagyu, wombok salad, hoisin sauce, egg mayo, chilli and ginger relish; “Kickin’ Chicken” which is basically just the “Emporer” with chicken instead; “Mite-y Mushroom” with a grilled field mushroom stacked with melted tasty cheese, freshly smashed avo, cos lettuce, Spanish onion, fresh basil and a specially made mayo; and “Field Day” which takes the same Grilled field mushroom but instead surrounds it with parmesan, jalapenos, freshly sliced wombok, Spanish onion, lime and the chain’s signature chipotle mayo.
These new options have been built in collaboration with Food & Nutrition Australia, which reviewed the menu at Grill’d and helped the business reformulate ingredients to remove artificial additives and to further reduce their kj and sugar count.
