Given they have some of the best hotel restaurants in Australia – shout out to Gowings & Parlour Cucina in Sydney and Santini Grill in Perth – QT Hotels and Resorts are doubling down on their at-home dining concept which was introduced late last year.
QT’s best chefs from across Australia – representing awarded restaurants like Gowings Bar & Grill, Bazaar Marketplace, and Capitol Bar & Grill – have come together to curate at QT @ Home Easter holiday box.
The easy-to-follow meal kits have been specifically prepped so home-cooks of any level of experience can easily whip up an Easter feast worthy of QT’s famously warm (and slightly indulgent) hospitality.
How indulgent you ask? Well the box isn’t fooling itself into thinking its anything but an Easter-appropriate collection of tasty Easter treats – the brunt of offerings will be based around chocolate dishes, sitting alongside fresh locally caught seafood and produce such as Queensland tiger prawns, Sydney rock oyster, smoked salmon, Fremantle octopus (AKA the best thing ever, always), and crayfish.
Land meat gets a good kick in though, with dishes like roasted lamb shoulder with crispy duck fat potatoes, right along with other small dishes like house-made tiramisu, and high tea treats like Sonoma hot cross buns, Gowings crab cakes, and Capitol’s mini pollies pie.
Each box will come with a specially curated chocolate Spotify playlist (no details there – but I assume it’s just Shanks & Bigfoot “Sweet Like Chocolate” over and over again – not a bad thing) that QT are describing it as a “unique sensory amuse bouche”.
Each box will come stuffed with enough for four people, with a choice of menus from themes like QT’s roasts, seafood, high tea, or a few others. Price per box starts from $169 – they can be picked up from QT Sydney, QT Canberra, QT Perth, and QT Gold Coast.
