Fresh and fabulous duo LAURA MAC are back with another high-voltage tune. We are thrilled to be premiering the video for the unreleased “Don’t Know What I’m Thinking” ahead of tomorrow’s drop.
This is mega-fun indie guitar pop. Lead singer Laura Maclachlan brings the party vibes in spades, with Zac Connelley and band adding the jangly guitars, synths and dance rhythms. They push the good-vibes meter up to eleven. This is a tune to wash away any bad vibes.
About the song, Laura says “Party, disco, dance – we’re just having fun with it! All our songs have a different vibe but I feel like we’ve kept our own unique sound. DKWIT is staying up all night partying and loving every second of it. Celebrate every chance you get, party with your mates and dance ‘til you drop… High 5!!”
The video is the perfect accompaniment for this high-octane tune. Filmed in a car wash in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, it’s party, party party. The clip was filmed & directed by Colin Jeffs (Jesswar, Yours Truly, Casey Barnes). It’s one of those clips where you would chew your left arm off to be an extra in.
As Laura says: “Making this video was just lovely. We had Colin Jeffs film/direct it at our local car wash and invited all our favorite people down for a dance. We had neon lights, bubbles, wet shirts, dancing shoes, motorbikes and our friend Lockie’s sweet black convertible. Our main man Eli pulled through as the spirited, seductive star that graced our video with endless style and sass. We were all wrecked the next day but, damn, it was worth it! Officially the craziest, sexiest, most fabulous car wash ‘round town.
