South African singer-songwriter/producer/eco-activist Jeremy Loops has finally unveiled his awaited third studio album Heard You Got Love, out today. Featuring the singles “Better Together”, “This Town” and “Happy Birthday”, the project boasts 13 cruisy anthems in his own brand of energetic acoustic pop.
Jeremy Loops has amassed over 250 million streams, performed headline shows around the world (including a sold-out Brixton Academy in London), and songwriting credits with none other than Ed Sheeran. Recorded at his home studio, Heard You Got Love features collaborations with Ed Holloway (Lewis Capaldi, Dean Lewis), Eg White (Adele), Wayne Hector (Nicki Minaj, One Direction), Steve Mac (Little Mix, London Grammar), Johnny McDaid (Shawn Mendes) and Cam Blackwood (George Ezra).
The album explores the importance of human connection and fragility of the natural world with powerful positivity. These core values are evident in every facet of Loops’ music and his distinct sound encourages a similar passion in his many listeners. From vibrant opener “It’s All Good” and introspective cut “Let It Run” to the uniting “Mortal Man” and wholesome closer “Chasing Grace”, Heard You Got Love is a journey of shared emotions.
“My goal was to make something undeniably infectious and every song speaks to something I care deeply about. This is the album I’ve always wanted to make and my hope is that some of the things I’ve written about will (mean) as much to others as they do to me.”
More than just a musician, Jeremy Loops is also a proactive believer in creating a better world. His eco-initiative Greenpop has tackled declining air quality and deforestation by filling over 400 green-free spaces with over 150,000 trees, consciously offsetting much of his carbon emissions from touring.
Loops also founded The Big Food Drive during the pandemic, a crowd-funded campaign establishing a food distribution network with a range of partners. The impressive feat contributed over 55,000 meals per week to those in need in some of the poorest communities in South Africa.
Coinciding with the release is a 17-date 2022 EU/UK tour kicking off in early September through October. You can buy tickets to the shows HERE.
