Exclusive EP Premiere: Liquid Time – Working Nights (2023 EP)

Liquid Time

Sydney’s northern beaches seems to be a breeding ground for bands that cross genres. The quintet Liquid Time is another fine example of a band that has its foot in many camps. They effortlessly float between psych-rock, nu-disco and indie surf-rock. They have recently dropped two fabulous singles, “Forever” and “Seeing Green”.

Tomorrow they release their new EP, Working Nights, including the focus track, “Working Nights”. We’re thrilled today to have the first listen of this new song, and the EP comprising the three tracks, ahead of its release.

About “Working Nights”, Lewis Miles (lead vocals / guitar) writes: “I wrote the lyrics of this song in my last year of uni, when I was fantasising about leaving my bar job.

‘Working Nights’ is all about sitting back with your feet up in the venue you used to work in, the venue that never really appreciated all the hard work you put in, and cruising. An ode to regaining a bit of control rather than getting absolutely pumped at work every night on the weekends.

‘Working Nights’ was the first track we experimented using a drum machine, so it’s been a song that’s evolved heaps over time, then once Wade got his greasy mitts on it the track really came together”

The band has been putting in some stellar live performances. Their show at Lost Paradise over New Year was one for the ages. If you get the chance to see them live, don’t miss it.

The track was mixed by engineer Wade Keighran.  We are super pumped about the new track, and thrilled to be premiering the Working Nights EP today.
