AYLA releases emotionally charged single “Should’ve Been Fine”

Since bursting on the scene in 2015 with her debut single “Wish I Was”, AYLA has consistently crafted brooding pop-gems. Known for her distinctive and eclectic style, AYLA has just released an emotionally charged single, “Should’ve Been Fine.”

AYLA asks her listeners to ponder the fragility of life and the importance of seizing the moment and not living one’s life dreaming about “what could be”.

I wrote this song about being in love with my best friend, who loved me back, but we knew it wouldn’t work out. ‘Holding off on happiness cause some stupid little things didn’t line up’ is a line in the chorus that pretty much sums it up! I was really feeling like life was too short to let anything get in the way of two people loving each other and being together.

After crafting the demo, AYLA worked collaboratively with Sam Thomlinson (Bad Pony) and Peter Holz (Gang Of Youths, Peking Duk, Vance Joy) to enhance the emotional depth of the song. What transpires is a song that bridges an upbeat anthem with an emotional landscape.

AYLA’s hope is that “Should’ve Been fine” resonates with listeners on a broader scale and helps with the difficult decision to let things go when they don’t work out.
