Virgin Australia has started the year off with a nice little mega sale for those looking to fly both domestically and internationally in the coming months.
Note that all sale fares, however, are based on Economy Lite and include return flights.
The Virgin flight sale includes a return fare from Cairns and Tokyo (Haneda – the airport that’s closest to the city) for $679.
Given Japan has now shot up to take the crown as the #1 destination for Australian travellers, this particular fare shouldn’t last very long. Especially with Cherry Blossom season coming up in April.
In total, 500,000 fares are now up for sale, with the lowest starting from $49. Destinations aside from Tokyo include Bali (of course), Cairns, Hamilton Island and Uluru. Needless to say, jumping on this flight sale now will set your year up quite nicely.
The sale only runs for the next seven days, starting today and finishing up on Monday 22nd January. This is for a broad range of travel dates starting from January 29th and ending later in the year on November 30th.
All sale fares will include Velocity Points and Status Credits so you don’t have to worry about not earning while you fly with eligible bookings.
