Paramore, Miley Cyrus, Lorde and more come together to celebrate Talking Heads with Everyone’s Getting Involved

A24 Music has announced “EVERYONE’S GETTING INVOLVED: A TRIBUTE TO TALKING HEADS’ STOP MAKING SENSE,” showcasing an impressive lineup of eclectic artists to commemorate the recent re-release of Jonathan Demme’s concert film of the same name and the 40th anniversary of its soundtrack.

In a triumphant return to theatres in 4K, A24’s acquisition of Stop Making Sense shattered IMAX records, quickly surpassing the original US theatrical run’s gross within weeks. Notably, the re-release orchestrated a joyous reunion of Talking Heads’ four members—David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison—in live conversations after two decades.

Everyone really is getting involved, including BADBADNOTGOOD, Blondshell, The Cavemen, Chicano Batman, DJ Tunez, El Mató a un Policía Motorizado, girl in red, Jean Dawson, Kevin Abstract, The Linda Lindas, Lorde, Miley Cyrus, Paramore, The National, Teezo Touchdown, and Toro y Moi. Paramore’s rendition of “Burning Down The House” is already making waves, and if you’re familiar with the delights of their latest studio album, This Is Why, you’ll undoubtedly affirm that excluding Paramore from this lineup would have been a grievous oversight.

The unmistakable influence of Talking Heads on Paramore’s musical tapestry is no secret, and this collaboration is a serendipitous union. With Hayley’s powerhouse vocals, the band’s infectious energy, and a dash of their signature weird and fun vibes, their version of “Burning Down The House” feels like a track plucked straight from This Is Why while maintaining the essence of the original.

While the official release date for the album remains a mystery, you can already dive into the delightful sounds of Paramore’s reimagined “Burning Down The House” by streaming it HERE.
