Qantas double status credits offer is back for 2024

Qantas has launched its popular double status credits offer today so you can each elite status much quicker in 2024.

The promotion is the airline’s most popular year-on-year with many Qantas Frequent Flyers waiting patiently for the airline to launch the generous offer before they start planning their travel. It’s a smart way to fly and bump yourself up to more benefits and lounge access in the future.

All you’ll need to do is log on to the Qantas app and choose whether you want double Qantas Points or Status Credits and apply that to all new flight bookings that you make on eligible Qantas flights. The flights will just have to be between 28th February 2024 and 14th February 2024.

Generously, Qantas hasn’t capped the number of flights you can book for double status credits (or points). You can book as many points as you like.

You’ll just need to book before 11:59 PM AEST on 27th February 2024. And note that codeshare flights do not count.

It’s always wiser to choose Qantas double status credits as your reward as opposed to the Qantas points. It’s been well documented over the past few months that Qantas points are becoming increasingly hard to spend on flights and upgrades, whereas status always matters.

If you do choose points, however, note that you’ll get a 100% bonus on the base points earned but not on any status bonuses. If you already have Platinum Frequent Flyer status this is a great way to get triple the amount of Qantas Points you’d usually earn on a Qantas flight (base points, status bonus, and then double the base points).

This is a great way to fast track your way to platinum. For example, if you booked a business class return trip from Sydney to London you’d normally get 560 status credits. Do it with this offer activated and you’ll get 1,120 status credits which is enough to get a Silver Qantas member to Platinum instantly.

Just make sure to acitvate the deal before you make any bookings. You can do via the Qantas App.
