In Sydney at Computex this week ASUS announced their new and extensive lineup of AI-powered laptops. With a host of new-look models purpose-built to target individual functionality across art, gaming and portability, the incorporation of advanced AI capabilities promises a leap forward in PC functionality.
For the artists: ProArt Series
ASUS’s new ProArt series trio are aimed squarely at creators, with a focus on both portability and power. Featuring the latest AMD Ryzen AI processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs, they provide a solid platform for the computing demand that creative applications require. Individual models announced include:
- ProArt P16: A 16-inch display with an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, great for intensive creative work on the go.
- ProArt PX13: A versatile 13-inch convertible laptop with a 3K OLED display and a 360-degree hinge.
- ProArt PZ13: An ultra-portable 13-inch detachable laptop weighing just 0.85 kg, powered by a Snapdragon X Series processor, ideal for mobility.
These models are equipped with AI-powered tools like StoryCube for digital-asset management and MuseTree to streamline creative workflows. As a sweet bonus, these models also include free subscriptions to Adobe Creative Suite and CapCut Pro. The latter will likely endear the creatively minded consumer as subscription-based services prove costly and continue to stack up.
For those on the go: Zenbook S 16
The Zenbook S 16 is aimed at those looking for something light and portable. Measuring just 1.1 cm thin, the Zenbook S 16 features the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor and an advanced 3D vapor-chamber cooling system. With ASUS’s highly-touted flagship material “Ceraluminum”, the lid combines the tactile feel of ceramic with the strength of aluminium. Offering a 3K display, a six-speaker sound system and enhanced security features the Zenbook S 16 should suit those looking for a machine suitable for both work and entertainment purposes.
AI for Everyone: Vivobook S Series
The Vivobook S 15 leads ASUS’s new AI-powered era, being the company’s first Copilot+ PC. Lightweight and measuring 15.6 inches, this one is powered by the Snapdragon X Elite Platform, offering AI enhancements for video calls, security, and creative tasks. The Vivobook lineup including the S14, S15, and S16, all feature powerful AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processors. Aiming to provide a wide range of users with advanced features, the slim, lightweight designs and robust performance capabilities offer something across the board.
For the gamer: TUF Gaming A14 and A16
ASUS has also updated its TUF Gaming series with the new A14 and A16 models. Built for gamers seeking high performance on the go, they feature AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPUs. The AI features are set to enhance productivity and gaming performance while offering visual fidelity with 2.5K 165 Hz displays.
ASUS’s latest lineup of laptops showcases the transformative heel-turn power of AI and is the clear centre for the current, ongoing and future tech race. With models set to suit the consumer across the board from professionals, gamers and mobile users, this announcement from ASUS suggests their first lap of that race is setting a good pace.
