PAX Aus 2024 to showcase its largest ever tabletop area

PAX Aus might already be one of the most popular gaming events in the country each year, but it’s about to get even bigger, with the announcement that PAX Aus has dedicated even more floor space to tabletop gaming this year, making it the largest it has ever been when the event comes around from the 11-13 of October 2024.

One of its newest additions will also be Disney Lorcana by Ravensburger, which has only recently launched in Australia but is quickly gaining traction amongst trading card gaming fans.

“We’re extremely excited to bring Disney Lorcana to Australian fans this year,” said Will Chan, Disney Lorcana Sales and Marketing Manager at Modern Brands (exclusive ANZ distributor). “Whether you’re a Disney fan, new to TCGs or a fully-fledged Illumineer well-versed in questing for lore, our booth will have something for everyone. We look forward to bringing the community together to play, learn and share in celebrating this wonderful experience during the show!”

Disney Lorcana will also be joined by long-running games Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons, the latter of which will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024, with exclusive merch items and first-time hands-on demos with new sets; both areas will be open from 10 am – 10 pm Fri – Sat and 10 am – 6 pm Sunday.

Bandai will also be adding to the mix for the weekend, learn-to-play sessions, tournaments and events for their popular trading card games including One Piece, Dragon Ball Super, Digimon and their newest addition, Sand Land.

Tabletop fans can also track down additional events off the beaten path, with the introduction of the Owlbear Theatre, which will see TTRPG – One Shot Adventures being run throughout the weekend.

Let’s Play Games will also bring back their Paint and Take event, more of which will be revealed down the track. Star Wars: Unlimited fans will also be able to get their hands on a ‘Grogu’ event promo card. There will also be new releases from Exploding Kittens Studios, Big Potato Games, CATAN New Energies, ForrestShuffle and more.

PAX Aus 2024 will run from Friday the 11th of October to Sunday the 11th of October at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Badges can still be purchased via the PAX Aus official website.
