Sigur Ros announce special symphonic shows for Australia

If you’ve ever seen Sigur Ros live before you know just how profoundly powerful the experience can be. Intense, beautiful, joyous. These are some of the words that spring to mind when thinking about this Icelandic band, who are absolutely no strangers to Australian shores.

So in some incredibly exciting news, they are coming down under yet again. In May 2025, Sigur Ros will be performing in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane with a 41-piece orchestra backing them. These one-of-a-kind performances present a Sigur Ros Australian fans have never seen before – bigger, elevated, even more compelling than they usually are.

The band will be flying down to promote their most emotionally direct album to date, ATTA, and cobble together disparate elements of ambient electronica and rock over Jonsi’s ethereal voice.

If you haven’t seen them yet, we highly recommend you take note of the below dates and on-sale times so you don’t miss out. It’s the kind of band that you see once and commit yourself to seeing every single chance you get, so these tickets will sell out.
