It’s that time of the year again. PAX Aus is back for another epic event of gaming and pop culture at the Melbourne Convention Centre.
Starting today, the event runs Friday 11 October through Sunday 13th of October with live panels, interactive events, competitions, cosplay and so much more!
If you are tight on time and with the sell-out event attracting record crowds, we are here to let you know the top 5 things you MUST do at this year’s event (in no particular order).
Crunchyroll Immersive Experience
Gather with your friends and PAX attendees in an inflatable dome, your team leader will take you through an immersive experience based on Solo Leveling. It is the Australian debut of the experience and will take your team through a cartoon temple to test your reflexes and survival skills. It is a lot of fun and a great way for fans to interact with the Solo Leveling series. It is a ton of fun and there is some free swag you can collect after your experience. There is also an official Crunchy Roll store with some exclusive Funko Pop! vinyl figures including POP! VINYL ANIMATION: BLEACH – ICHIGO (GETSUGA) and POP! VINYL ANIMATION: Luffy training Kung Fu Jugon Pop! Moment.
Sega Booth
Get your hands on the highly anticipated Sonic X Shadow Generations game (if you can survive the queue!) once you have had your time with the game, snap a pic with Sonic in his Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie suit. The Two Point series is expanding with the Two Point Museum on full display. Immerse yourself into the world of museum management in your first hands-on with this game. Metaphor: Re Fantazio is also getting the hands-on treatment with your opportunity to try before you buy. It’s a great stop with something for everyone to play.
Project Dali
Located over at the ROG booth, the Republic of Gamers have brought their testing device for Project Dali. An immersive laptop screen that lets you create and express art on a screen on the outside of your laptop. It is done with e-ink and there are some preloaded images you can play around with. You can also create your designs and watch them flash onto the outside of the laptop screen. It is spectacular to see and will be great to watch this as it progresses.
Hands-on with the ROG Ally X

Ubisoft Just Dance Competition
While this is not new to PAX, this is always the most fun you will have at the expo. Whether you are watching gamers slam out their best moves, or jumping in yourself, the catchy music and good vibes pulsating from the Ubisoft booth are sure to put anyone in a good mood. This is free for anyone to jump in all weekend, make sure to check out the other games on display including Star Wars: Outlaws, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and Assassin’s Creed: Mirage.
