Last week, Irish post-punk icons Fontaines D.C. stormed the stage at Red Hill Auditorium for a blistering, sold-out show – one of the headline events for this year’s Perth Festival. Kicking off the night were UK outfit Shame, whose energy suitably whipped up the crowd.
Touring off the back of their acclaimed new album, Romance, Fontaines D.C. delivered a fantastic set that opened with the titular track “Romance” and closed with the huge single “Favourite” – before returning for a humble four-track encore, including “I Love You” and “Starburster” to a roaring crowd.
