Yeah. That’s right. Melbournians will be able to wake up in the morning knowing that they need not leave their house to go pick up some fresh bacon. Instead, they’ll be logging on to Tervey, Australia’s first bacon-subscription service, to order up some of that goodness and have it delivered straight to their door.
As reported by Broadsheet, Tervey has formed as a response to a high demand for fresh, juicy bacon that’s convenient and at the ready for breakfast each morning.
Simple and straight-forward, the completely necessary service was founded by Bryan Robertson who told Broadsheet that it’s all for the love of farm-fresh bacon. “The bacon is stored in a pool of dry ice in a polystyrene box,” he explains of the process, “for the sake of freshness, we do recommend that your order is refrigerated or cooked before noon. If you wake up and cook, you’ll consume your bacon within 24 hours of it leaving the farm”.
Tervey will source their bacon from Greenvale Farms and Otway Pork, both properties which are committed to organic, free-range produce.
Those keen on subscribing to the service can expect a whole heap of varities, with the option of having additional basting materials, spices, and recipes delivered with their order.
Robertson has also indicated that if demand is high enough, he has hopes that Tervey will soon be expanding into barbequed meats.
