Fresh off a successful, inaugural Dog Show, Sydney institution The Beresford has released their summer calendar for this season, bringing in weekly events to fully showcase their new menu and refreshed interiors. Most notably on the schedule is the return of The Monday Jam and Movie Night in The Beresford Courtyard.
The Beresford has always been a destination for live music, with their popular Monday jam nights bringing in performances across various genres, featuring their young house band, handpicked local DJs, and weekly spotlight on local up-and-coming artists from the Australian Institute of Music. This season, the live music night is back for it’s fifth year and running every Monday throughout summer. Happy Hour is 6-8pm.
Looking more towards mid-week, wednesdays will be Movie Night in the Beresford Courtyard. This month will focus on a range of movies from The Sound of Music to Entourage, but January will be themed more towards comedy and family flicks with the likes of Zoolander and Frozen. February will take a turn towards the more romantic of films, and the ever-changing focus will continue until April 2016.
Of course,, the various happenings at The Beresford will all be fueled by a new menu from Head Chef David Heath who has focused on classic pub grub from wood-fired pizzas and buffalo wings to steaks and schnitzels. Of course, there are various specials throughout the week, including a free kids meal with each adult meal from Monday to Thursday.
The weekend is staying true to tradition, with DJ sets on ground floor and Upstairs Beresford into the night every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
