Wine company DRNKS are preparing to take over the National Art School’s Cell Block Theatre in Darlinghurst on Saturday 30th April with a big wine and food party that will be highlighting 100 wines from Australia and around the world alongside food handled by Sydney icons Mary’s, as well as The Unicorn, and Icebergs Dining. Although wine will obviously be the focus here, the event also promises to bring in some rare spirits, sakés, and beers to serve up alongside all the Mary’s Kebabs and mortadella sangas one could handle.
Underpinned by a sincere love of wine, the organisers have procured some impressive names to supply wines for the event, served out of a bar that will feature a wine list that changes every hour, open after a more intimate wine tasting. Suppliers include:
Shobbrook Wines, Jauma, Andrew Guard Imports, Si Vintners, Black Market Saké, La Sorga, Eric Texier, Ochota Barrels, Brian, Spirit People, Kindeli, Patrick Sullivan, Eurocentric Importers, Dr. Edge, Living Wines, Frederick Stevenson, Vardon Lane Imports, George McCullough Imports, Giovanni Armani Giorgio, Campbell Burton Imports, Good Intentions Wine Co., The Other Right, Xavier, Addley Clarke Imports, Stoney Rise, Brash Higgins, Fratelli Paradiso Imports, Chapter Wines, Lo-Fi Imports
The tasting session will run for three hours from 3pm until 6pm, after which the bar and food will be available until the party wraps up at 9pm.
More information can be found at the official Facebook Event page HERE and the official website HERE. Tickets wil be $49.50 each (earlybirds) or $55 each (general release)
