Single malt Scotch Whisky Auchentoshan American Oak has now made it’s way to the Australian market via Beam Suntory and Coca-Cola Amatil, and the team behind it has laid down quite the tempting challenge to the Australian bar industry. Highlighting the triple-distilled difference the Whisky goes through in Glasgow, Scotland (it’s the only Scottish single malt to triple distill every single drop), the distributors have designed the “Distilled Different” competition, which tasks bars across the country with presenting a bespoke cocktail built to showcase both the unique identity of the single malt and the respective bar’s character.
Out of the pool of bars that enter this competition, twelve finalists will be selected and each paired up with an up-and-coming Australian photographer, who will in turn create a bdoy of work that captures the personality and essence of each team. The finalist teams’ image and cocktails will be worked into a national exhibition where consumers and media will then be invited to taste the original concoctions.
Bar teams have been given until 30th June to enter and submit their entries, after which the exhibitions will take place between August and September. The winning team will be announced on 16th September, crowned the Auchentoshan Distilled Different Bar Team of the Year and, alongside their photographer, win a trip to Glasgow to further explore the home of Scotch Whisky.
