Parramatta has been enjoying a tighter focus this year, the beginnings of large cultural sweep that promises to completely reinvigorate the Western Sydney city. We’ve already seen the likes of street-focused festival Parramatta Lanes become a yearly staple, and now locals and visitors can look towards a huge boost to the area’s night-time economy with V By Crown.
Self-contained food scenes have really become a focus for the ‘new’ Sydney, already giving us the likes of Tramsheds and Circular Quay’s Gateway. Crown Group’s landmark 29-storey development will have a similar approach, alongside the lush (and likely very expensive) apartments being planned.
It’s already known that Neil Perry’s Burger Project, which is part of a recent merger with Urban Purveyor Group, will be opening at the Macquarie Street building, as well as Shed Cafe and Shakudo Japanese with all three due early next year. Now it’s been announced that an epic cocktail bar will be located on the 26th level with views all the way to the city and Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The yet-to-be-named cocktail bar is set to be Parramatta’s highest, a big reason for visitors to head towards V by Crown and a nice little bragging right for the residents who will occupy the planned 590 apartments and hotel suites.
“Parramatta’s new bars and restaurants are grabbing the attention of Sydney’s after-five crowd, but no other bar will match the views on offer at V by Crown Group’s bar”, said Crown Group National Development Director Pierre Abrahamse. “[The] ground-floor dining and retail precinct will be a popular new meeting place in Parramatta”.
The three restaurants at V by Crown Group are set to open in Autumn 2017, with the level-26 bar to open later in the year.
