Just because summer’s over doesn’t mean the fun has to stop. See these coming months through rose-coloured glasses, because thanks to Nour, those sunny summer vibes will last long into autumn and winter this year. The contemporary Lebanese restaurant in Surry Hills has just elevated happy hour, with free-flowing rosé for two hours straight, Monday to Friday. That’s right. Bottomless. Rosé. What’s the catch? Nothing, except that you just need to tuck into some share plates of tasty Lebanese snacks from the special menu developed by executive chef Roy Ner (ex-Aria) – but that’s not really a catch though, is it?
Reflecting the dusty pink and salmon hues of the restaurant’s décor, the full package is a rosé-fueled bacchanal with two hours of unlimited rosé from 5pm to 7pm, plus dishes to share among friends, including wood-fired olives and smoked almonds, hummus with pomegranate, Persian lime and pickles, the Old City Mix with chicken bits, target radish and pan fried pastry, Camel Sambusak with charcoal bull horn, lime salsa and smoked labneh, twice cooked potato, smoked garlic, coriander and chili, and Nour favourite, baby prawn falafel with smoked black tahini. This is pretty much a sign from the gourmet gods telling you to knock-off early and kick start the weekend on a rosé high.
Temperatures may be in a decline, but let’s be honest, our love for rosé never stops, no matter the season. If you’re looking for us, we’ll be sipping the pink stuff and devouring some Lebanese treats come 5pm.
Nour’s Bottomless Rosé package is available Monday to Friday from 5pm to 7pm for $69.
