Spring is here and what better way to kick off a sunny afternoon than with a cocktails in hand, plate of antipasti in the other, and the musical sounds of soul resonating an enchanting city courtyard.
You can at Sydney’s hip city small bar, Since I Left You, who are bringing back their SILY Sessions, a series of boutique music events, this Saturday October 14.
Kicking off from 2pm, a $20 ticket to SILY Sessions will take you on an intimate musical journey, and give you access to a generous $12 cocktail list and SILY’s famous (and free!!!) Antipasti table.
Their latest session will showcase the neosoul of Cairns born Sydney based singer / songwriter, Kid Heron will be introducing his debut single ‘Ornaments’. An eclectic weaving together of styles brought to life by his distinct falsetto vocals; Kid Heron is reminiscent of the likes of Bilal, BJ the Chicago Kid and TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe.
Also joining the lineup this Saturday is Freesouls, who champion a more traditional approach to the art of rap, with old-school flavour combined with a South-West Sydney twist, that heralds their upbringing in the sometimes turbulent suburbs.
For those not lucky enough to snag a ticket, The SILY Sessions are recorded, videoed, and photographed, and the content will be available online.
