Slane Irish Whiskey has launched in Australia ahead of St Patrick’s Day, coming all the way from the legendary Slane Castle with 300 years of family history and 147 years of whiskey-making behind it. The whiskey, which goes through three types of casks, should immediately bring Irish whiskey enthusiasts a new favourite seeing as the liquid is known for its smooth and complex finish coupled with a strong profile defined by oak and spice notes.
The Irish grain and malt whiskey is aged across virgin American oak, seasoned oak and Oloroso Sherry casks imported from Spain, soaking up a unique character that draws from each cask for a rounded profile of vanilla, butterscotch, plum, spice and banana. This is said to ultimately result in a more robust flavour than your traditional blended Irish whiskeys, and should easily be considered a big win for the Australian market.

Slane Irish Whiskey (40% ABV) will be available in Australia from March 2018 at slaneirishwhiskey and select retailers.
