Furies Theatre calls women to the front in upcoming play Rozencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead

Furies Theatre are presenting their third production, swapping genders and bringing women to the front of Tom Stoppard‘s Rozencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. The Kings Cross theatre will be particularly looking at the role of women in the sidelines of the theatre industry, and exploring the characters they are often cast as.

The play tells the story of Hamlet through it’s least important characters, who seek out the meaning of the world and try to keep their composure within the chaos of the court. Following the success of Furies first two productions Antigone: The Burial At Thebes from 2014 and The Importance of Being Earnest from 2015, this performance will begin on May 10.

Rozencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead will run from May 10 – May 14 and May 17 – May 21. You can find further event information here.
