Maldives to get a Radisson Blu Resort in 2019

Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group recently announced the signing of a management agreement for Radisson Blu Resort Maldives with Chang Hua Holdings. The property, which will open in the first quarter of 2019, represents a substantial presence for the brand as it’s the first Radisson Blu resort in the market.

To be built on the southern park of Maldives’ Alifu Dhaalu Atoll, the property will stand 105km from Male International Airport with easy access via a 30-minute seaplane journey or by domestic flight from the Maamigili Airport following by a 15-minute speedboat ride to the resort. The area in which it is being built is big enough to allow for 128 exclusive villas including family villas and a premium overwater villa, all reflecting the stylish contemporary design which makes full use of views of the Indian Ocean.

The resort will also feature a first-class sea sports and dive center which will open up guests to various activities, while a yoga pavilion and spa will maintain a strong focus on wellness practiced in the tranquil surrounds of the island.
