The Possibilities Are Endless is an innovative interpretation of Edwyn Collins’ life-changing experience and is a film not to be missed. The former lead singer of Orange Juice, Collins is a celebrated indie singer-songwriter known for his ’80s and ’90s hits ‘Rip It Up’ and ‘A Girl Like You’. After suffering a stroke, the only words he knew on waking were “the possibilities are endless,” and his wife’s name, “Grace Maxwell.” Grace is one determined woman, and although there were times when she admits that it was hard to believe his old self still existed, she patiently perseveres.

Filmmakers Edward Lovelace and James Hall use images of the striking landscape around the couple’s Scottish home and Collin’s faltering narration to creat a palpable sense of a man struggling to regain his use of language and to recall all that he has lost. This intimate story, backed by Collin’s original score, ends triumphantly, with him back on stage once again.

The Australian premiere of The Possibilities Are Endless is taking place on June 6th at 8pm at Dendy Opera Quays Cinema in Sydney and we’ve got a double pass to give away!
