Counting out the almighty Star Lord is a foolish, foolish thing to do. While the adored cast of The Inbetweeners 2 reigned supreme last weekend, it was Guardians of the Galaxy which returned with a vengeance, climbing back on top of the charts. While total profits seem to be down from last week, all movies in the top 10 performed well with a particularly strong debut from If I Stay, which sits in fourth place (the trailer can be viewed here).
Aussie thriller Felony (review here) is another nice debut this week, edging towards the end at number nine, sitting just above Begin Again which looks to finally be on the edge of leaving the top 10.

Next week should be an interesting one, with the release of big budget Michael Bay production Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles starring Megan Fox and a whole lot of CGI; and family-friendly Island of Lemurs: Madagascar. We’ll also get to see if the animated Tarzan, the next installment in the Step Up dance franchise with Step Up: All In, and a clever little comedy called What We Do In The Shadows (review here from the folk that brought you Flight of the Conchords. Richard Linklater’s universally acclaimed Boyhood should also be in with a nice shot at the charts, with many aching to see just how good it actually is (hint: it is really very good; our review can be found here)
