David Ayer’s WWII drama Fury is released in cinemas next month, and it looks set to be a fascinating and thrilling look at a particular mission of one small group of soldiers near the end of the war. The film boasts a great cast led by Brad Pitt, including Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead), Shia LaBeouf (Transformers), Michael Peña (End of Watch), Logan Lerman (The Perks of Being a Wallflower) and Australian actor Xavier Samuel (Healing). The buzz surrounding the film has been steadily growing since it was announced, with many expecting the film to do quite well come awards season.
Sony has released a new production featurette detailing the process of filming the WWII-era tanks in Fury. The production was able to use the only working German Tiger 131 tank in the world, which had been captured by the allies in 1943. It’s the first time that this tank has ever been used in a film and this featurette is an interesting look at its use in the film.

April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
Fury will be released in Australian cinemas on October 23.
