The battle for top spot wages on. For the 4th time in as many weeks – and at a time where Age of Ultron was expected to reign supreme for weeks on end – that coveted number 1 spot is the home a new film. This time its the silver screen adaptation of hit TV series Entourage which has brought home $3.4 million in its opening weekend.
San Andreas, despite its short lived time at the top has yet to slow down, earning just over $2 million while Spy rounds out the top 3 with $1.9 million. Mad Max is still doing great numbers in 4th spot making $1.6 million and Pitch Perfect 2 has been pushed down to 7th spot after a great opening earning just over $1 million.
Avengers: Age of Ultron is still hanging around (just) earning just over $300,000 and with this years slew of blockbusters quickly approaching, it could only be a matter of time until Marvels unstoppable team is pushed out of the top 10.
