Did you miss out on grabbing tickets to this year’s hilarious 11th Annual Sydney Comedy Festival? Well no need to worry, you can catch up with all the laughs whilst chilling in the best seat in the house (your own lounge) on The Comedy Channel, when they air the four part series The Best of the Sydney Comedy Fest 2015, starting June 19. So even if you didn’t manage to make it to the festival this year, you can still check out some of Australia’s biggest comedians, the best international stars, and the most promising emerging stand-up talent to hit the stage.
The series was filmed at the festival’s opening “Cracker Night”, hosted by Aussie comedian and triple j breakfast host Matt Okine, who was joined on the night by humour heavyweights such as Joel Creasy, Sammy J & Randy, Jimeoin, Tommy Little, Steven K Amos, Nazeem Hussain, Jen Kirman, Tien Tran, The Umbilical Brothers, and many more.
The Best of the Sydney Comedy Fest 2015 isn’t all about the laughs however; as they have proudly partnered with Suicide Prevention Australia (SPA) in support of the work they do with their “Laugh for Life” initiative. Foxtel and The Comedy Channel are urging all those who watch the series to get behind this initiative in one of two (or both!) ways: you can SMS LAUGH to 0437 371 371 to donate $5 to SPA or donate online by heading to www.gofundraiseme.com.au/beneficiary/SuicidePreventionAustralia
Foxtel’s exclusive series The Best of the Sydney Comedy Fest 2015 premieres Fridays from June 19 at 8.30pm
