Blizzard have revealed the next three heroes to join their popular MOBA Heroes of the Storm, one from each of their big franchises, and unveiled a brand new battleground.
First up is Kharazim, better known as the monk character from Diablo III. Blizzard say he’s to be considered a support class and that his play still sets him apart from other similar heroes. Players can pick from one of three traits – Transcendence, Iron Fists or Insight – which allows the character to drill down on health or mana regen, or DPS. He can dash to quickly heal squaddies and comes with a number of familiar moves like Divine Palm. Kharazim appears in connection with the ongoing Eternal Conflict campaign which is built around Diablo-themed content.
Blizz are also adding a new battleground from Diablo III called Infernal Shrines. The map is built around, surprise surprise, a whole bunch of shrines that will spawn a big bad called Punisher when defeated.
Next up, we have Rexxar who will be no stranger to Warcraft fans. He’s a ranged warrior with a bear familiar that can attack enemies while he hangs back, making him perfect for harassment tactics.
StarCraft is also getting a look-in with Protoss leader Artanis but no date on him has been announced as yet.
