The sixth annual Indie Gems Film Festival has announced its 2015 program, showcasing the latest independent Australian cinema from 11 to 13 September at Riverside Theatres.
Indie Gems presents film enthusiasts with a rare opportunity to view superior non-commercial cinema that is specially curated by award-winning creative producer, John L. Simpson, on the big screen in Western Sydney. Festival attendees will also meet fellow collaborators and mingle with acclaimed producers and directors via Q&A discussions following feature films.
A highlight of this year’s Festival is the powerful and moving documentary, Gayby Baby, which follows the lives of four extraordinary children (including 12-year-old Parramatta resident, Ebony) growing up with same-sex parents. Capturing some of the most debated contemporary issues today, the filmprovides a rare and intimate look at parenting through the eyes of children. The screening takes place at 6pm on Saturday 12th of September and will be followed by a Q&A with the film’s producer, Charlotte Mars (ABC’s The Slap, Foxtel’s The Playground). We’ve got THREE double passes to give away!
For your chance to win, email [email protected] with the subject line GAYBY BABY. Make sure to include your full name, a contact number, address, and that you send from the email address you use most often.
Competition closes September 7th at noon. Good luck!
