Ahead of the big Doctor Who Festival this month at Hordern Pavilion/Royal Hall of Industries, Broadway Shopping Centre has become the new temporary home to the returning Pop-Up Shop completely dedicated to the iconic sci-fi franchise. Aimed at all the companion, Whovians, and Time Lords around the city, the pop-up stocks exclusive merch, toys, gifts, DVDs, rare books, offering different ways to explore and celebrate the rich universe surrounding Doctor Who.
Along with the hard-to-find stock, the shop houses a replica TARDIS photo booth for diehard fans as well as props and coats from the UK and Canada, and items from the Doctor Who range, including the new Twelfth Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver Universal remote and a brand new range of Pop! Vinyl figures.
All the Doctor Who themed goodies will be sitting opposite other BBC brands like Sherlock, Top Gear, Sarah & Duck, and Sooty, all of which will have their own range available. There will even be a Sherlock dress up box.
While the Pop Up will be located at Broadway until January 2016, it’s timed around the massive two-day Doctor Who Festival which will be attended by a host of Doctor Who talent, including Twelfth Doctor Peter Capaldi.
The Doctor Who Pop Up Shop is open now on the Ground Floor (next to Aldi) of Broadway Shopping Centre, 1 Bay Street, Sydney. Opening times are:
Monday-Wednesday: 10am-7pm
Thursday: 10am-9pm
Friday: 10am-7pm
Saturday: 9am-6pm
Sunday: 10am-6pm
Public Holidays: 10am-6pm
