Tropfest made an announcement on Tuesday that it will be shown across eight live venues in NSW, QLD, SA and WA. The film festival is making its triumphant return on Valentines Day, Sunday 14 February 2016, making it such great news for film enthusiasts and creatives alike!
With the incredible support of CGU Insurance, the world-renowned short film festival will delight fans around the country. Furthermore, its partnership with Event Cinemas and a number of independent organisations and venues, will offer more opportunity for Australians to enjoy a live Tropfest event.
Creating a red carpet presence, Tropfest will be showcasing 16 outstanding films, entertaining hosts and surprise guests, with the festival set to be broadcasted on channel SBS 2 from Sydney’s Centennial Parklands. Audiences are expected to have a bit of a laugh and cry for the films being showcased.
Over time, Tropfest has successfully drawn 1.6 million people since its establishment in 1993 and festival organisers are expecting a huge turn out for this year’s run.
