MudFest short film festival set to feature largest screen ever, 15 short films

Mudgee is prepared to welcome thousands to its 12th annual MudFest, an outdoor short film festival  on 19 March 2016.

Held on the sweeping grounds of Bunnamagoo Estate, this year’s event is set to be the biggest yet and features the largest screen MudFest has ever used. As dusk falls guests will be treated to around 15 short films that have been selected from more than one thousands entries.

After 12 years of success, MudFest is fast making a name for itself on the international film circuit. This year’s event has attracted attention from all over the world and has received thousands of film entries from countries including France, the United States, the UK, Spain and Australia.

“Mudgee Region has always been an avid supporter of the arts, providing Australian filmmakers with another exciting platform to share their skills and expertise. The Mudfest team is excited about the standard of entries we’ve received this year, and looking forward to presenting one of the strongest line-ups we’ve ever screened,” said Mike O’Malley, MudFest Co-Founder.

MudFest tickets cost $30 per person, and gates will open 5:00pm. The evening will begin with live music, followed by a screening that is set to run for approximately two hours. Guests may purchase food or bring a picnic*.

Festival Directors suggest bringing a rug or seat as well as clothing that is appropriate for the cooler evening weather.
