Eddie Redmayne announced in Nick Park’s new claymation Early Man

Academy Award winning Director, writer and animator Nick Park who gave us all the Wallace and Gromit delights, is working on something new.

This time, it’s situated at the dawn of time with all sorts of Wolly Mammoths and prehistoric creatures. It’s called Early Man and Park already has his leading man for the project: Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne.

Nick Park comments, “Not only is Eddie a joy to work with, his versatility and boundless energy have really helped to bring my new character to life”.

Redmayne is to play Dug, a plucky caveman, alongside a sidekick named Hognob. The premise sees the pair uniting a team against a mighty Bronze Age with all sorts of prehistory shenanigans.

We have a while to wait, so chin up. The film isn’t due out in the UK until January 26th, 2018 and in Australia and New Zealand until March 29th, 2018.
