E3 2016: AMD debuts new range of Radeon RX graphics cards

AMD only recently announced its new Radeon RX 480 graphics card, but have used a spot on the PC Gaming Show E3 press conference to unveil the remainder of its new RX series.

The new RX 470 and RX 460 cards are both designed with mid-level rigs in mind. The RX470 is built for efficiency, offering low power draw, noise and temperature with 1080p res at high frame rates. The RX 460 draws even less power but is geared toward lower-end games like MOBAs and other esports titles.

Meanwhile, the RX 480 remains a bit of a monster. Built to handle VR and 1440p resolutions, the card is surprisingly affordable. The 4GB version will set you back around US$199 when it launches June 29. That is far cheaper than Nvidia’s current go-to VR card, the GeForce GTX 970.

AMD did not announce pricing on the two new cards, but we should be hearing more that in the near future.
