Tyler Hoechlin joins Supergirl as The Man of Steel

Supergirl is about to get a whole lot more interesting with the casting of Teen Wolf’s Tyler Hoechlin as none other than Superman.

The super hero series, which has recently moved from CBS to join Arrow and The Flash on The CW, will once again be produced by Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg.

“Greg and I have wanted to work with Tyler for ages, so this worked out perfectly because Tyler is Superman,” said executive producer Andrew Kreisberg in a statement.

“We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character.”

Superman will be appearing in the first two episodes of season 2 of Supergirl, which returns in October.
